How did you get into the High End Audio business?

I started by proposing a tube headphone amp to HeadRoom. At the time, there were pretty much no tube headphone amps, and very few headphone amps at all.

Did or do you have anyone who has influenced you in your business?

Early on the folks at HeadRoom – Tyll and Todd – influenced me a bit.

What product do you think is the best you have in your companies’ catalog?

The Pinnacle 2 headphone amp /preamp is definitely the best.

If you were to recommend one product of yours for someone looking to get started on their journey to high end listening, what would it be and why?

I’d recommend something affordable to start, like maybe the Peak hybrid headphone amp.

If you could only keep one product in your current system what would it be?

The Pinnacle 2.

What do you personally prefer - Digital or analog? Solid state or tubes?

All can be good, and my preference seems to switch around. Lately, analog and tubes.

What is your favorite genre of music?

Folk and singer/songwriter, as well as classic rock.

Favorite performer/album/song?

That also changes from time to time. Todd Snider, Donald Fagen, Frank Zappa, and Keller Williams come to mind at the moment.

What did you want to be growing up?

A physicist.

Do you play any musical instrument or sing?

Nope.
